Artist's Comments

Since I just packed everything in one image, the file size is big. Sorry about that.
Hopefully it's not too confusing. I'm trying my best to explain how I ink.
For those who's interested in seeing the final result, click here: [link]

Tools used for this:
Regular 2 HB pencil (for sketch)
Pentel Polymer Eraser
uni-ball Vision Exact (for base and re-inking)
uni-ball Vision Fine (for touch up inking)
and 8.5"x11" Sketch book
Photoshop for clean up. You may also use Gimp for the clean up, or other free softwares with Level or Histogram tool.

I'm was about to ask about your inking. I always wonder who still inks with a traditional medium, or if they're totally digital. Nice to see you're one of the many who're still using traditional mediums.

Yay! Outlining I think is one of my weaknesses, so I'm so glad you did this...thank you very much so. ^^ Also, the link you supplied in your artist's comment doesn't work. :P

I am my own sweet, bitter contradiction...
^^; 'cuz it's easier to ink with the pen than on computer. It'd take twice as long for me to ink a piece like this. T_T
I just use whichever that's more convinient

j/k. That was really helpful. You have no idea how long I have searched for inking tutorials, it seems like most artists like to keep it a secret or something. Now I have some kind of idea, I can practice more. '-'
