As always, AnimeBoston's artist alley is a pleasant experience. I had a wonderful table mate , who helped me sitting my tables when I had to take a break.

I also get to share the hotel room with these wonderful people:
and who kindly lend me her blanket so I wouldn't freeze.

The AB staffs were wonderful too. (Which is why their alley is good)
A huge thanks to all those bought my prints or stopped by the table, hopefully I'll be able to go again next year.

In brief: a few wonderful artist friends and myself have put together a charity auction to raise money to aid those so deeply affected by the earthquake and tsunami that shook Japan on March 11th.

Howard Collier howardcollier.com/caricatures/… - amazing artist I met in local drawing groups. His web site currently only shows caricature work, but he does amazing realistic art too. his work is almost like a black and white photo.

I've heard DA's print quality been suffering, especially with the colors. I haven't ordered a print myself recently, but to be on the safe side, if you would like a print from something in my gallery, please contact me via note or email (lookie @ gmail.com). I'd much prefer to make the prints myself at home where I can make sure the quality and color is right.

Mike and I ran into a developer a couple of months ago and found out about GiveCamp. It's a volunteer event where lots of developers gather together to create websites for non-profit organizations in one weekend. So Mike spent the entire weekend on a boat programming away an iPhone app for SPACES www.spacesgallery.org/. Yes, a boat, on a river, with the great view of Cleveland downtown. I stayed in the Burke Airport next to the boat, with a great view of the lake and small airplanes on the runway, hacking css for Cleveland Tenants Organization (cleveland-tenants.org/).
This was a great experience, working with other developers for a good cause. Learned a lot, networked a lot, and ate a lot. Over 20 some websites were built over the weekend by 100+ participating developers and designers. I highly encourage every developer and designer to checkout the nearby GiveCamp event and give it a try.
